This project was a fire site and the complete structure needed removal. CMH were involved from the very beginning; Demolition Permit, Securing of Utilities and Equipment removal, Abatement of Hazardous Materials, foundation removal and aggreagte backfill. Due to this job being in a very tight & safety critical work area, the job was preformed in 3 stages. The top 2 floors were removed by hand, main floor & foundation by machine, finishing with backfill using heavy equipment, dump trucks, aggregate stone slingers supported by CMH Safety Crew & Metro Police all in a very high traffic area of downtown Toronto.
